“As a teacher, I encourage reading and The Kids Reading Room contributes to that. I enjoy seeing kids come in to read together and even more so when kids bring their younger siblings. One of the best moments I’ve had in the Reading Room was when a 3rd grade girl brought in her much younger brother. She began reading to him out of a book that was in Spanish. Later, she chose a book that was in English. She read through the book and then began translating it for him page-by-page. It was amazing!”
